Buckeyes for Concealed Carry Launches New Website

For Immediate Release

Ohio State student group Buckeyes for Concealed Carry launched its new website, www.BuckeyesforConcealedCarry.com, today. “A website is always a work in progress,” said President Mike Newbern. “We’re excited to launch our web presence as the leading Central Ohio campus carry group.”

The website has been in development since early this year. Once the group secured web-site hosting it was able to move forward with backend development, which was mostly completed by staff advisor and Ohio State information technology professional, Peter Bossley. “As a staff member at Ohio State, I am especially interested in restoring the right to self-defense,” he said.

The website features information on how to obtain an Ohio Concealed Handgun license, current campus carry laws as well as pending legislation and litigation, and articles from members. There is also a link to their facebook page, which used to operate as the website, Twitter, and YouTube channel.

“We think it’s important for interested people to be able to access information from and about us through multiple channels,” said Newbern. “Knowledge is power and information is king. When presented with the facts and years of data, our position in support of campus concealed carry becomes more difficult to refute.”

Buckeyes for Concealed Carry on Campus is an undergraduate student organization at Ohio State University. The group’s sole mission is to restore the right of law-abiding citizens to carry concealed firearms on all public university campuses in Ohio. The group works to accomplish this mission by educating the public, university officials, and lawmakers of the facts about campus carry and lobbying to remove the restrictions on campus carry from the Ohio Revised Code.
